How Ceramic Coating Actually Works
It is not magic. It is chemistry. Here is what happens at the molecular level.

Decontamination
All bonded contamination is stripped from the paint surface. Iron fallout, tar, water spots, and industrial fallout must be chemically removed. The surface needs to be perfectly clean for the coating to bond properly.

Paint Correction
Machine polishing removes swirl marks, fine scratches, and oxidation. This is critical because ceramic coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in. We make sure that condition is as close to perfect as possible.

Polymerisation
Dura-Seal ceramic is applied panel by panel. The SiO2 (silicon dioxide) particles polymerise as they cure, forming a semi-permanent glass-like layer over your clear coat. It does not sit on top of the paint. It becomes part of it.
This is why ceramic lasts years, not weeks. It is a chemical bond, not a layer of wax sitting on the surface waiting to wash off.

Paint Correction Before Coating
Ceramic coating locks in whatever condition your paint is in. That is why every ceramic package includes paint correction as standard. We offer two levels of machine polishing to get your paint as close to perfect as possible before the coating goes on.
Single-Stage Correction
One round of machine polishing to remove light swirl marks, wash marring, and minor surface imperfections. Ideal for newer vehicles or well-maintained paint in good condition.
Dual-Stage Correction
Two rounds of machine polishing using progressively finer compounds. Removes deeper swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and water spot etching. Recommended for older vehicles or paint that has seen heavy use.
